Pray for your Children and their future
Being a mother has been one of the biggest blessings that I’ve ever gotten to experience in my life. Alongside that, It’s also been the toughest. Moms, we can go on and on about the list of things that makes life just a little bit more complicated and stressful when it comes to being a wife and mother. But that’s not what I’m referring to when I say “toughest.”
What I mean is, being a mom in this world is scary. With everything going on around us you can’t help but feel a bit nervous about raising a child in this chaos. What I mean by “toughest” is, you are literally raising someone’s, future spouse, you’re raising future citizens, future neighbors. You are literally everything to these tiny people, and everything you instill in them from the moment they’re conceived, until the time they leave your home, means everything to them.

Pray For Your Children
I’ve learned that in everything I do, I must do it to bring honor and glory to the Lord. This applies to being a mother. I have learned that everything I show them, teach them, give them or even say around them, molds them into who they will become.
With that being said I’ve also learned that we need to pray for our children on a daily basis. Why? Because this also molds them into the adults they will be in the future. Because it shows them to lean on God in all that they do.
Here are a few ways you can start praying for your children today.
Pray For Their Salvation
This is the most important thing we could pray for, for our children. That they may come to know Christ as their personal Savior. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;.” Ephesians 2:8
Pray For Your Children to Want a Relationship with God
You Childs foundation is key to the person they will become in the future. Show them how to have a personal relationship with the One who gave them life. Instill the importance of prayer in them. Prayer is key to having one on one time with God. “So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might feel their way toward Him and find Him, tough He is not far from each one of us.” Acts 17:27

Pray For Your Children and Their Future Spouse
It’s crazy to think about this but your baby will one day end up getting married and settling down with their spouse. Pray for whomever that person will be. You may not know them now, but God does. Pray that that person may also seek God and all His righteousness. May they fear God and desire Him just as much as you’re child will. “above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
Pray That Their Identity May be Rooted in Christ
When they know who they are in Christ, they will never doubt who they are to anyone else. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
Pray That They May Grow Wise
I’ve heard before that there is a difference between being smart and being wise. Now yes we all want our children to be smart and go places, but we should desire more that they may find their wisdom in God’s Holy Word. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; food despises wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7
Pray That They Are Courageous

Now more than ever must we look for courage in the Lord to defend our faith. May God also give our children the courage to stand for their beliefs without fail. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Pray For Your Children and Their Friendships
The people they choose to hang around with will also mold them into the people they will become. Pray for their friends, pray that God gives them, and your child grace. Pray that they may all be filled with peace in their homes. That they too may also know who Christ is. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Pray That They Have Self-Control

Self-control goes a long way. With self- control they will learn how to be equipped for their daily lives. They will be able to stay away from temptations that can lead them astray. “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.” Proverbs 25:28
Pray That They Grow To Have Compassion For Others
We are always talking about loving our neighbors but hardly ever put it into action. By praying for you children to have these fruits and demonstrating it daily in your own personal lives, they will grow to love their neighbors and have compassion for those around them. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
Pray That They Are Honest and Have Integrity
May they be sincere. May their lives be one with integrity and honesty. To be completely honest, we don’t ever have to teach our children how to lie. Their natural instinct is to lie. Teach them and pray for them to be example of a God of truth and live by living lives of truthfulness.”Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.” Ephesians 4:25

Such a great post! My daughter asks for me to pray for her every night now, it has become a routine. Sometimes it is difficult to find the right words to tell God to always watch over our little ones. Thank you for this!
Its honestly something I’ve been trying to do as much as I can! It’s awesome that your daughter had that desire to pray every night! Good job momma!
