What are your plans for the upcoming New Year? Granted, the whole world is still in pandemic mode, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try and better ourselves for the good right?
Now I don’t want to talk about New Year’s Resolutions because if we’re being honest … they hardly work.
The majority of us talk about New year New me but hardly put anything into action when it comes time to stepping up and fulfilling the resolutions we made for ourselves. So let me ask you again, What are your plans for 2021? How do you want to better yourself for the good?
New Year, New Focus
Let me give you a little nudge ….
Now, this year leave out the “Me, Myself and I.” Instead place God as your focus. This year would have been even more unbearable if I didn’t have God as my stronghold. This year I wouldn’t have matured as much without God as my foundation.
You see, If God is your main purpose, your main focus, and your priority, all other things will fall into place. With God all things are possible. Through God, you can do all things. With God by your side, this next coming year could be the best year you’ve ever had.
You see there’s this verse in the Bible that says “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…” Colossians 3:23. That means in everything you do, place God as your whole hearted reason as to why you’re doing it.

What are your plans?
Want to lose weight this year? (That’s my goal) Do it to honor God primarily. Put Him in the center of your weight loss journey and you’ll see that when times get tough when you feel like you’re not hitting your goal, He will be there to lift you up and push you to go forward,
Want to be a better mother this year? (That’s my goal) Again, Do it to primarily honor God. With God by your side, He will give you the grace you need and the patiences you need to raise godly disciples.
Whatever you, do it with your whole heart this year for God and not for anyone else. Maybe that’s where we’ve gone wrong so many times with these “New Year’s Resolutions”.

Seems you’ve figured it all out. The only plan I have is to be a better person than I was yesterday which by the way, is a daily thing.
I am hoping to get a book published this new year
I don’t necessarily make resolutions, instead I make lifestyle changes that can aid in completing and reaching my goals. I want to substantially grow all of my small businesses in 2021.
The new year is a great time to step back and examine where you are in life and where you would like to be in the future.
I haven’t done New Year Resolutions for a while now (you’re right, they only work for a small percentage of people), but I do believe in the power of tapping into our inner wisdom (that comes from God) and using that to become the narrator of our life. I’ll use this narrative approach to continue living an inspired life as we head into the new year … and each day after that.
I want to get healthier in 2021 and I also hope we can eventually start traveling again!
I just want to “be” this year. No resolutions that I won’t be able to keep. Maybe a personal goal or two. I just want to be happy and healthy!
We love to set yearly goals, not necessarily resolutions per say since those are usually short lived like weight loss or stopping a habit.
