Keeping Calm: Chaos vs Calm
There is so much going on in the world today. Can we talk about last night as well for a second? I mean in all this chaos with this presidential election I think I only got a few good consecutive hours of sleep. This world is full of chaos and to be quite honest, whoever wins this election, the world is still going to be full of chaos.
We sometimes tend to think that if things go this way or the other, life will be better. But, not to be a Debbie Downer, it won’t. Things can only get better if we look to God and not man. When we put our faith in man, we will always be disappointed. When we put our hope in this world, we will never find peace or calmness until we find it in God.
I mean seriously, just the thought of what’s going on right now has probably given everyone some type of anxiety. Am I right ?
Chaos vs Keeping Calm

Let’s talk about Chaos for a second. Chaos means “to have complete disorder and confusion”.Thats all I’ve seen on social media. Chaos is all I’ve seen in our everyday lives simply because we try to find hope in man and this world.
Let me tell you something. The times that I have felt anxious, nervous, troublesome, worried …. going to Christ is the only thing that has helped keep me sane. With all this world has to offer (not necessarily good) and with all the corruption that is in man, Christ is the only person who can bring the calm in the storm.
Keeping Clam

What does the Bible have to say about this?
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7
“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you”. 1 Peter 5:7
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
“When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Psalm 94:18-19
- “Calmness is the way we show that we are trusting in God.”
- “Staying calm in the storm makes a difference.”
- “Sometimes God calms the storm. Sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child.”
All in all, stay calm even if this world is full of chaos. Stay calm and don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow has worries of its own.

Amen! Praise God for His peace in the eye of the storm.
Your posts are always so meaningful to me! I think I needed to hear these verses today with so much going on.
Holding on to faith is the best way to get through the anxiety going on at the moment. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for these words at a time like this. It’s what we all need to hear!
This is a perfect message for current times. I feel like anxiety is on the rise because of people trying to control so much that is out of their control. Keeping calm and letting God is the smartest thing to do!
Thank you for the reminder that anxiousness does not come from God. Praying for our leaders no matter who wins, God is the only one who can change hearts. ❤️
It is so true this world is so very chaotic right now in so many ways, even if you try to focus on just the smallest of tasks it seem like those are not even being done well. Sadly it is as if people have just given up all together.
Thank you for sharing some beautiful verses here. I have found great peace in spending time in verse. Along with the chaos, let’s remember the beautiful people around our planet doing wonderful acts of kindness to support each other during these difficult times. You being one of these people, as you share verses to bring comfort to others.
Let’s remember these stories too.
Thank you for those words. Words we all need right and to keep our faith in these times of uncertainty.
Such a beautiful and prominent message!
So important. I haven’t been okay for months especially with what has been happening in Armenia and Lebanon. Small countries no one is talking about. Armenians have been bleeding 🩸 for months now but to deaf ears
Love this! I am a high anxiety person so, while I logically understand this, it is hard to put into practice. It is always helpful to find peace in scripture! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful and well spoken. Our firm foundation is the word of the Lord & all other ground is sinking ground.
Keep writing & sharing the truth ❤
God certainly has been my saving grace through this all
So perfect, especially for right now. Thank you for sharing
